That's a typical MacBook Pro screenshot before and after. Levati halves the Retina resolution and then repacks the PNG, without a difference you can see.

Engines
Levati doesn't use one compressor for everything. Each format gets the engine that gains the most there. If there's nothing to gain, the file stays as it is.
pngquant and oxipng
For screenshots, where Levati gains the most: fewer colors where nobody can tell, then repacked losslessly. With half resolution, a typical screenshot gets 90 percent smaller.
jpegli
For photos. They are already compressed, so there's less to gain: about 10 percent at the same quality, and only for photos from a high-quality source. All others stay untouched, a second pass only costs quality.
Media Engine
For videos, through AVFoundation right on the Apple chip: Share in H.264, Small in HEVC, or a target size in MB that is never exceeded.
